An independent comparison service

Solar Gear Scout is a founder-operated information and referral service based in Independence, Oregon. We help shoppers compare portable power stations, solar panels, batteries and inverters. We do not sell equipment, take payment for orders or handle fulfillment.

Exact hardware comes first

A similar name does not make two offers comparable. We match model, configuration, region, condition and quantity before comparing prices. Bundles and different capacities must not quietly become offers for the same standalone product.

We show useful measures such as price per rated watt or watt-hour where supported by the product data. These measures compare purchase cost against a specification; they do not predict real-world energy output, usable battery capacity or installation cost.

What our prices mean

Prices and stock are observations from retailers, not guarantees. Check the observation time, condition and purchase quantity. Unknown shipping stays unknown. A low item price is not automatically the lowest delivered price, and taxes or other checkout charges may apply.

Our coverage is deliberately selective. We do not claim to cover every retailer or find the lowest price on the entire internet. Product information and guides are researched comparisons, not claims that we have personally tested every product.

How we plan to fund the service

Solar Gear Scout currently has no approved affiliate partnerships. Merchant links are direct links. Some may become affiliate links later; affiliate status never changes ranking.

A merchant cannot buy a better comparison position. Ranking follows the selected price basis and eligibility rules, including identity, availability, freshness and quantity.
