Affiliate Disclosure

Our current relationship with merchants

Being listed on SGS does not mean a merchant has approved an affiliate application, sponsors SGS or endorses our comparisons. We work with affiliate programs through affiliate networks, and some outbound links may earn us a commission. We do not invent tracking parameters or present an application as an approval.

Affiliate links and advertisements

Following an outbound link to a merchant in an approved affiliate program may allow SGS to earn a commission if you make a qualifying purchase. We disclose this at the top of the offers on each product page.

Some product pages also show one advertisement from an affiliate network at the bottom of the page. Advertisements are labelled “Advertisement”, are supplied by the network or merchant, and never affect how products or offers are ranked.

How ranking stays independent

Affiliate approval, commission rate and revenue do not determine comparison order. Offers must match the exact product and satisfy the requested condition, quantity, stock and freshness rules. Delivered-price comparisons require supported shipping information.

Direct merchant offers can be included whether or not the merchant has an affiliate relationship with SGS. Coverage is selective and does not represent every seller or every available deal.

Amazon Associates

Solar Gear Scout is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Amazon products follow the same ranking rules as every other store: an Amazon link never moves a product up a list.

Merchant checkout is authoritative

Confirm price, shipping, taxes, availability, warranty and returns on the merchant website before ordering. A displayed observation or outbound link is not an SGS sale or a guarantee that the merchant will honor an earlier price.
